Hi Donna, i have a question about The small pads for The necklace backs. If both pads are setting #3 with The imprint for The cord ON just one of them, what is The diameter of The cord that goes thru The pads? Im thinking The gap is too small for a 2 mm cord. I will be having a shopping trip online for the clays you speak of… I started with department chain store clay…. had a go with the Chinese cheap shop in clay, which was more like icing sugar, then the two dollar shop clay , which was pretty good. I think it might have been Thimo. Been practicing with resin and it’s mea….
okay, will. i would recommend you purchase the best clay you can get. go to michaels and get fimo or premo or cernit, my clay you can only get online. anyway, avoid sculpey3 because you'll just make something and it will break! others might have recommendations here. i only use kato so i cannot really recommend one of those over another. cheers, d
@@DonnaKatoArt I reckon it’s time to try the Kato. I have read the reviews and checked out the websites. I want to make things that will last & my fingers and hands are gnarled by decades of pastry work. I realised it wasn’t just me after I purchased the clay from a $2 shop and the result was 100% better but it doesn’t have much strength to it, turns into chalk if it’s sanded…. & I don’t particularly want to resin everything. I want to be able to make sure it lasts. I’ll start with a few things, white, conditioner and some of the blackening & buildup supplies, otherwise I’ll keep topping up the not so good wasting my time and money. Iol.
